So everyone says that if you are pear shaped, stay far far away from loud bottoms. Just like a nice juicy red apple for Snow White. Can’t do it. Nope I can’t. Especially when I saw these pants from Country Road. So pretty. So chic. I put them on and thought you know what..I can make this work 100%. Thank you, me.

I do think the vertical print makes them work for me so careful consideration of the print is definitely in order to determine when loud is ok. The fit as well was spot on – thanks to my very good friend, the elastic, round the back.

The pants are definitely a statement piece in themselves so everything else gets muted down. Not that I wear loud accessories anyway but I would definitely keep this monotone and not introduce another colour. It’s always funny looking at the pics. I prefer the white top in photos but the black top in person. So I wear both regularly.  

I think layering might be a bit tricky though as it would need to be cropped so that the loud pants continue to start at my waist. Otherwise, it would become unflattering – or if you were Snow White, you would fall into a fashion coma and never be allowed loud pants ever again. And we can’t have that, can we?
